At IH Dublin, language learning goes beyond the classroom. Over the past few weeks, students in our Young Adults Programme have been experiencing the best of what Dublin has to offer—through a mix of cultural activities, city exploration, and time in nature. Here’s a look at just a few of the memorable moments.
Discovering Dublin on Foot
To kick off the week, students took part in a guided walking tour of Dublin city centre. From historic landmarks to hidden gems, the tour helped students get their bearings and learn more about Irish culture and history—while practising English in real-life conversations along the way.
A Step into Irish Tradition
Later in the week, students got a taste of Irish heritage with an interactive Irish dancing workshop. With live music and a lively atmosphere, the session gave everyone a chance to learn a few steps, join in traditional group dances, and enjoy a fun, cultural experience together.
Nature Breaks: Phoenix Park and Sandymount
Outside the city streets, students also explored some of Dublin’s most scenic spots. A sunny afternoon in Phoenix Park brought deer-spotting and fresh air, while a walk along the Sandymount coastline gave the group space to relax, chat, and take in views of Dublin Bay.
And That’s Not All…
These were just some of the activities offered during the programme. From cultural excursions and sports to creative workshops and evening socials, every day brings a new chance for students to build confidence, make friends, and enjoy life in Dublin to the fullest.
